Pixar Animation Studios is a California based film animation studios who are responsible for some of the most beloved movies of all time, pulling in millions and millions of dollars in profit for the studios every time a film is released.
What is Pixar's Ownership?
Pixar Animation Studios is owned by the Walt Disney Company of which was bought for a staggering $7.4 BILLION in 2006. The founders of Walt Disney was Walt Disney (himself) and Roy O. Disney. Pixar Animation Studios was founded by Edwin Catmull, Alvy Ray Smith and Steve Jobs.
At current there are three key people who are currently top of the hierachy, of which are Edwin Catmull (President), Jim Morris (President) and John Lasseter (CCO)
Key Figures
Edwin Catmull is the technical approach to the three key people, he has gained many achievements including a lifetime technical contributions and leadership in the field of computer graphics.
Jim Morris is responsible to the smash hit movie Wall-E as he was the producer for the film. He is also responsible for the for managing and producing of the studio's shorts, DVD content, theme parks contents and for being the producer on the 2014 film John Carter.
John Lasseter is responsible for overseeing all of the creative directions for the films and other projects that Pixar animation studio create. His first achievement was in 1995 with the first directional debut with Toy Story gaining him an Oscar. He also produced the biggest animated film of all time Frozen. He also produced: Monster's Inc (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), The Incredibles (2004) and Ratatouille (2007) to name a few.

Ricky Strauss is Pixar's president of marketing who is in charge of the Studio's global marketing encompassing all the distribution channels of all the creative works, the media that Pixar makes, how the company promotes their products, how the company deals with publicity, the research in to potential markets and how the company synergises.
